Today I got my postcards and cards.
I'm very pleased with how they look.
Ahh, my lovely dogs now on saleable items!
I feel like I'm getting somewhere.
But my word it's taken me a while.
Still it eventually came and I'm happy, happy.

Hello.
Seems like a while since I've updated,
Busy at college and preparing.
Saw my advert in Bath Life magazine the other day, it looks good.
Will anyone come?
Well, if I don't get some more work done maybe I'll be pleased if there's not too many people!
I joke of course, I'd be sad.
A few little set backs have been thrown up, but it'll be fine.
Ben has been kindly art working for me to produce some cards/postcards for the show.
I've decided on these.

The car boot was brief but good.
I ended up spending a fiver.
I got 2 domed wall plaques (pics to follow).
And the hideous monstrosities below!
They all look a little weird.
Eyes to close together, too human like, not actually resembling any dog I've ever seen.
Still they're mine now.
And I will love them.
Somebody has to!

Patterns

Over the past week I feel that productivity has decreased!
This changed yesterday with a 3am wake up/mini panic.
It was fine just had lots of thoughts running round.
Got up made a few to-do lists and felt tons better.
Yesterday I:
Made 2 trophies.
Took my Mac to the computer hospital!
Arranged for my trophy backs to get laser cut.
Learnt how to create patterns in Illustrator.
All rounded of with a 9pm trip to the new Asda cathedral in Longwell Green.
It is too big and extreme in every way!!

Think I'm gonna carboot it this morning.

Nowhere fast!

This week seem's to have gone within a blink of an eye.
I really don't seem to have achieved much at all.
I suppose there's been a lot of planning, ringing round, e-mails....
Well I am still excited, but getting nervous.
Ahh, it'll be fine.
Yesterday my computer decided to get a screen error.
This is a band of flashing light about 2 inches wide running from top to bottom of my screen.
Just off centre too, so as to cause as much of an inconvenience as possible.
Rang up technical support.
Could be a cheap repair, could be £400 odd.
Hmmmm, great!
Still, it's only a computer!
Yeah but an expensive thing to have to fix.
Oh well, no ones died.

I've been trying to be majorly productive.
I'm not sure I have, but I've not been sitting about twiddling my thumbs either so it can't be bad!
Just a quick post as I'm off in the town to get rid of some flyers and posters for the show.
Then off to a Not So Fast textile exhibition.
A few colleagues and some students are taking part, so should be good.

Mondays have become great!

It's official.
Mondays I think have become my favourite day.
At the minute I am fortunate enough to spend Mondays concentrating on my own work.
This accompanied with Adam Buxton's Big Mixtape proves to be a lovely way to start the week!
So this morning I have been sewing and appliqueing.
And now just before lunch I've produced a slightly dodgy drawing.
This poor creature has been plonked in a tuxedo and bow tie which is quite clearly a little tight for his large neck!
So to add insult to injury I have drawn a bad picture of the event.
Sorry.

I'm trying not to show all on here before the show!
I'm not very good at that, and also not sure I care too much.

It's lovely and sunny here.

This morning as well as adding pattern to a few more sashes I've been listening to old Adam and Joe podcast's.
Saturday mornings spent working is no longer the same without them to cheer me up.
Still I have belly laughed a great deal and it has set me up for the day.

Haven't drawn for a little while and doesn't it show.
Well this one isn't so bad, but the ones before, well, they will not be seeing the outside of my sketchbook.
Still work is progressing and I'm feeling positive.
Getting excited about the possibilities of displaying etc.
Feeling restless but I reckon it's time for bed.

Concentration, the lack of!

Today although I have been fairly productive my concentration levels are pretty shocking!
Not sure why, just feeling a bit flat.
And I guess just not feeling it!!
Today though I have enjoyed:
Singing loudly in my car.
Wearing bright blue tights with my new blue bag (courtesy of Mother Theresa, my mum!!).
Hearing about Emile Coue.

Boy With The Arab Strap - Belle And Sebastian (reminds me of Lara and Del clapping along in the car).
