Have a Nice day!

Hello Friday!
Been for a lovely walk this morning.
The clouds are clearing and blue skies are peaking!
The dogs are back.
Just drawn this fella.
He will soon be stitched.
So, so nice to have a day to be creative.
Ace.

Damn you Phoenix with your cheesy pop I cannot resist!
The drummers having fun.
The lovely Pavement.
And these again.
Brilliant video, ace song.
(Mum do not watch!!)

Grey Day

Yesterday was a great day.
Teaching a lovely group of 1st years.
Then went to a talk by this clever man.
Which was ace.
Then lunch, a few hours more teaching.
Then off to Bristol to see Hot Chip.
It was like a non stop treat fest!!

Today I have managed to do 3 cat drawings.
Believe it or not, this was the most successful!!
Some days, you just ain't got it.
I'm feeling tired.
So not at my most creative.
Tomorrow however is another day.
I will make it a good'en.
Hope you all are having lovely Wednesdays.
Ta Ta. x

This stop frame animation is pretty special.
As is this.

Majestic Moggy

Today as well as some other stuff I stitched this.
I said to Ben the other day,
"I think this (my Irish sewing machine) is the best thing I have ever bought"
It's taken me a while to get in the flow with it.
Now though, I love it.
Honestly it is the greatest thing I own!!

This reminds me of certain people.
Nice hair Mr Burgess.
This reminds me of being 18, dancing at Switch Nightclub!
And I'll just add this cause I like Neil Hannon.
Not sure why I thought of this!

I diversified!

Firstly:
Well the time has come to diversify.
Will I regret it?!
Let's face it, it's no life or death situation.
It's a drawing of a cat, Cornish Rex in fact.
What a handsome chap.
Yes you have every right to feel happy Mr Rex!
Secondly:
I have run out of antimacassar!
Only a large table cloth left.
Looks like the stitching is going to get bigger then.
It is out of my hands.

Creepy Mr Jones.
Bad haired Al Stewart.
Over excitable girls, Squeeze.

Sunday (trying my) Best!

Hello, Sunday had been and nearly gone.
I went for a run, cleaned, stitched.
Had coffee with friends, cooked, ate, stitched!
This is what I came up with.
Not the best, but ok.
I think there's too much stitch going on,
Plus a not so good drawing!
Either way, I've been creative and that's good enough.

I ran to this today.
And this.
Ahhhh, Lovely Mr Holly.

I Thank You.

Just an extra bit.
Thank you to everyone that's been so wonderful.
Those who've helped me to get to this happier place.
You are all noted and favours can always be called upon!
Cheers and happy times to you.
xxx

Here's the future.
This reminds me of old times.
Diana Ross being camp and getting over excited over her piano!!
"I Will Survive" with some added bass.
Lovely Howard and Vince, with some Yeti's.
Mr Numan.

The sun has got his hat on, etc!

This morning I went for a lovely walk.
Too much curry last night meant no run for me.
The sun was out and frosty fields were in view.
It was lovely.
I shall run tomorrow.
On my return I set about stitching the bobble hat on this grump!
I think he has become my favourite.
I cannot remember the time when I felt so happy to be creative.
I'm not sure I have ever felt like it.
It may be a little over the top but I did say to Ben:
"I feel like I've been given the gift of life"!!
How's that for a good feeling on a Saturday morning in February.
Long may it last. x

The wondrous Mr Cave.
This with lovely Mr Considine, dancing!!

Nice!

This week for no reason at all has been a joy!
Been teaching, stitching and generally feeling life's good.
The student's have been enthusiastic, inquisitive and a pleasure to teach.
The sewing machine has been behaving.
Spring is in the air.
How could it be bad?!!
Today as well as a few tutorials I have begun work on this chap.
Red bobble to follow!!

Listen to this, in memory of.
This, just cause I heard it on the radio today, and I like him.
And this, it goes without saying!
And you just gotta love this, or not!

Can't stop!

Yesterday evening I was only going to spend 10 minutes stitching.
2 hours later and I've nearly finished another embroidery!
I'm just so enjoying my machine, being creative and having enthusiasm for it.
What's happened?
Been thinking about my show, what I want to produce and include.
Reckon it'll be interiors based.
I just want to keep going.
Don't make me go to work!

This has a high quality video!!
This is well worth a look.
This will brighten anyones day.

On Show!

It is most definitely official.
I am having an exhibition.
My first ever, and solo to boot!!
What have I let myself in for?
Lots of fun, stress, nervousness!
Nah, it'll be great.
I can't believe I'm actually excited at the prospect.
I think it'll be a selection of items.
Stuff that I've produced over the past couple of months.
And things from now till the day!!

These over sized brooches have featured before.
Just better quality pictures now!

Now who doesn't love Adam Buxton?
Probably quite a few people, but I think he's a good'un!
Shame about the latest venture, still we all make mistakes.
Ahh.
An old friend Chris used to be in Art Brut. I ran to this the other day. I like.

Happy Sunday

This weekend has proved lovely.
Seeing Hannah Friday.
Hiromi on Saturday.
Dave's cocktail party Saturday evening.
Sunday lunch with Ben and Hiromi and coffee and cake in BOA.
Tired out, but excited about the future.
Just spent an hour or so on this snooty lady.

Yesterday this helped me on my morning run.
I imagined wearing a neon headband and leg warmers and thoroughly enjoyed the vision!!
This also helped me along the way.
Which made me think of these.

Hoodie!

Well they just keep coming!
A little fella in a hood.
A pretty pink bowed lady.
Been really enjoying using my Irish machine.
It is a wondrous joy (when it's behaving!).
Feeling bright about the future and will continue to persist.
Seeing friends from afar today and tomorrow.
A cocktail party tomorrow night and then a full week of teaching.
What's not to be joyous about!!?
I hope you are feeling as bright as me.
x
Everyone has guilty pleasures.
All sense thrown out the window.
Sorry
And many more apologies!
I can make up for that with this.

Dog's Dinner Party!

I've been stitching this little lady today.
She's not finished and I'm not sure about her, yet!
A pink bow to come, that may sort her out.
I have a feeling that good things are in store.
Maybe for work, maybe personal, but good all the same!
Feeling positive.

Urghhhh.
Wow, maybe too fast.
Hmmm.

Dog Napkins!

Not really sure what they're good for!
But I like them and have enjoyed doing them.
(They're embroidered by the way.)
Maybe cushions, maybe for the wall, maybe.... etc!
Who know's?
Feeling happy and good about stuff.
Onwards and upwards, blah, blah, etc!
This is growing on me. Couldn't find a video!
Mental, but lovely Kate.
Lovely PJ Harvey.
(Apologies for quality of stuff).

Times they are a changing!

Yesterday was a funny one.
From feeling low, to ok, to positive!
This continued for much of the day.
I spent time on the sewing machine again.
Using my lovely 1940's object of joy to draw this.
He's not finished but I will continue later.
The day ended feeling good and has carried on till morning too!
I'm thinking of driving back to Luton for the day.
I'm up early so no excuses.
Decisions!!!!

How can you not like this!

B Happy Day!

It's Saturday, it's a day to be happy.
Hope you are having a good day, full of treats and fun!
I was supposed to be taking part in a Liberty event.
In true style I failed magnificently.
Still I managed to create this happy chap.
I hadn't used my Irish sewing machine in ages.
A miracle happened, it worked fairly well.
Hardly any threads snapping and mainly painless.
For your enjoyment, or not!
It's a translation in stitch from a previous drawing.
Behind is pattern from a brooch I constructed.
Happy day to you.

We've all seen better days.
This is Mr Jagger in his "Saucy Times"!

St, st, st studio Line!

Do you remember the Studio Line adverts from the 80's?
A mighty rip off of Mondrian paintings!
Well I'm copying Studio Line from Loreal!

This is a good video. Few years old I know.
As is this.
This video I also like. Not sure about the song yet!
And who can dislike this?!
This is pretty good too.

Back by popular demand!!

Well maybe that's an over exaggeration.
But, I had lovely comments from friends.
So the dogs are back, as am I.
For how long, not sure.
But I've enjoyed drawing these little chaps!
Here they are.
Maybe even later today I may add some backgrounds.
We shall see.

Here's this. Unlikely bunch!
Nice message.
Are we in the 80's? I like this too!
This features Mr Casablancas.
It has bad language, you might be offended.
Either by the lyrics or just the song.
You cannot deny the beauty of the line, "I saw a spanish guy doing The Bartman!"
