Head scarves a plenty

Finished off a commission today.
He looks good, I hope they'll be happy with it.
As well as that I've been drawing, again!!
I think that it is possibly my favourite thing to do.
Even more so than embroidery.
Controversial!

As with yesterdays canine, todays also wears a headscarf.
My internet search for "glamorous women wearing head scarves" gave me lots of pictures of the Queen!!
Not so much glamorous, but still she has style.
I've always secretly like Dot Cotton's outfits!
I think it's 'cause she's always matching.

Now these have plenty of style.

Pug In A Pucci Print

I like the idea of dogs in hats and jewelery.
I'm going to continue down this route for a while.
The possibilities for pattern, colour and humour is very appealing.
So today a pug in a Pucci print is what has occurred.
Not so much glamorous as old woman chic!!

Paw Seasons

Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Paw Seasons again.
It's a luxury boarding home for dogs.
I say boarding home.
It's Jenny (the owners) lovely house.
She must be bonkers.
Saturday had her sharing her home with 10 canines!!
All lovely, in different ways.
I took some photo's whilst there.
These are the drawings from them.
Arthur, the Shih-tzu apparently loves croissants.
That is why I have given him a hat made from said pastry!!

Luton bound!

Today I have been finishing Merlin.
He is now ready to go to his new home!
Been nice/challenging drawing other peoples dogs.
It's easier when you don't have to worry about getting things just right.
Not that I'm sure it is just right!!
Reckon I've captured his character though from what I've been told about him.
I'll have to wait and see.

Stitching this Old English Sheep dog made me think of this.
Wordsworth has such a great voice!

Merlin, he is not a wizard!

Today has been a day of many things.
Application written for a joint show with Miss Loder.
It will be late next year in Clerkenwell, can't wait!
Won a beauty of a sewing machine on Ebay.
With that £20 added that I won on a scratch card, it's a bargain price.

An Owl for Mr Tundra

Yesterday I had the delight of an unexpected birthday message.
It was from the lovely Max Tundra via Twitter!!
It made me a very happy person.
Via a few tweets I asked what he'd like if he could have anything embroidered.
He said an owl.
Several demented owl drawings later and..
here he is, looking like a weird cat!!
Will he like it?

It has begun it's journey from drawing to threads.
Hoping to do more tomorrow.

Well It Is My Birthday!

Tomorrow is the day of my birth!
I'm not one for too much fuss.
Surprised I even mentioned it.
I shall spend a while drawing and then maybe into town for some cake.
Nice and relaxing.
Could have gone to London.
The 7am start and 10 0'clock home time did not fill me with joy.

Today has been a bad day for drawing!
As well as other things.
Still in the end I managed to produce 1 I like and 1 I don't mind.
Some dogs are just better than others to draw.
Sometimes the person drawing them uses that excuse to make themselves feel better!!!

Now I'm off to get with the 21st century and watch The Wire.
Which I have never seen an episode of.
Along with, Lost, 24 and any other series you probably care to mention.
