Original Sketches On Etsy

So I have put a few of my original sketches on Etsy.
So if you know of anyone that is in need of an original gift, have a look!!
Fancy a dog adorned with pearls, bow tie or scarf?
Then these might be for you, or a special someone.

Introducing Penelope, Bob, Mr Happy, Pico and Lionel.

Sparky and Samson

Just a few of the latest models I've had the pleasure to sit for me.
Sparky lives in San Francisco and Samson in Oklahoma.
Beautiful in her beret and handsome in his bow tie : )

Happy Tuesday to you. x

Flower Power!

I may have got a bit carried away.
This Brussels Griffin is swimming in a sea of flowers.
He looks miserable, but I can assure you, he is quite content.
A bit of a random shape too, but he got too big for my piece of paper, so joining two together was the only option!
Think it was all the Pinterest excitement last night that made me a bit giddy!

Have a fabulous rest of Thursday.

Miles Amongst The Flowers!

This evening, well in the UK anyway, Christine from the lovely Miles To Style received the portrait of Miles I'd recently completed for her!
Such lovely words were sent my way for the  illustration, made me blush slightly!
Miles is not only the sweetest thing ever with an underbite, but an utter joy to draw.

Thanks Christine for all the lovely commissions you've had me complete for you and for being a fan!
It's all very lovely : )

This is Miles in amongst the flowers.
(Sadly the quality is not too great as I was without scanner at the time, but he still looks lovely!)

Boris and Dwight In New York!

So last week was the opening of the  Mascot Studio's 13th Annual Dog Show!
This is also at the same time as the 136th Westminster Dog Show,  unbelievable how long it has been running.

The lovely Anne Watkins, who is also showing, and who now I have made a friend in, sent me some images and info! Thanks Anne : )
The opening was a great success and I was delighted to find Dwight and Boris in the window!

Anne got to meet two of her heroes Ward Shumaker and Vivenne Flesher  as well as numerous other artists and illustrators.
What a treat to have my work shown, not only in NY, but also with such a lovely bunch of talented and successful people.
Next year I will be there in the flesh too.
Cannot wait.

The simplicity of a line!

There is something about drawing with a pen that I love.
The mistakes have to be kept and the simplicity of a line is something that always fascinates me.
David Hockney was the first person to really grab me.
Still by far my favourite are his line drawings.
Beautiful and inspirational.

Not quite a Hockney, but nice to do! : )

Wish the video was better for this, but nice to listen to all the same.
This popped up today to, always nice to hear a bit of Orbital.

New York Bound

Not me, sadly.
A couple of prints, Pug and Pooch In Pucci!
And 2 embroideries, Dwight and Boris.
All showing at Mascot Studios 13th Annual Dog Show.
If only I was delivering them by hand.
Instead I am waiting in for Parcel Force to arrive.
No where near as fun!

But in this waiting period I have been collaging!
Always a pleasure.

So if you're in New York head along to the chow which starts on the 14th Feb.
Take a loved one along and buy them some original art.
After all it will be Valentines Day!

Nathan Fake has been aiding the drawing.
