Working With Waggo

I recently had the utter delight of being asked to produce some greeting cards for Waggo.
Waggo are a Brooklyn based company founded by Regine Raab, who previously worked at several fashion houses. This is very obvious by the great style that Waggo has on all it's products.

"As an avid shopper for her dog, Benny, she realized there were some things missing from her favorite pet stores. Surrounded by generic merchandise and boilerplate bone and paw print designs, she thought there must be a better way. She decided to develop products that provide style and comfort for her and her dog."

I can happily say they were a joy to work with, and are thrilled with the outcome.
Having spent 5 weeks in Brooklyn a few years back, I'd love to return, enjoy New York again and meet some people that I've had the pleasure to work with.

Maybe next year!!

A Week Of Inspiration, And A Mini Collection Of Vintage Canine Postcards.

This week I have had the pleasure of a trip to Amsterdam. I went years ago, but with a slightly different head on,
This time I stayed in the Jordaan area, in a fabulous B&B (The Eelhouse). Breakfast delivered to the room, mini bar stocked for free everyday, and fabulous settings. If you're going, take a look!

Whilst there, I visited the Steldelijk Museum Of Modern Art, which was fantastic. I also visited Foam, where an exhibition of Diane Arbus was showing, which was inspirational, for her dedication, body of work and also a very informative and well curated show.

I also visited Frozen Fountain, The Otherist, and many more delights. Quite frankly I could have stayed a lot longer.

These beauties were found at a flea market.

Pattern And Colour With Added Canine

Hello.

Hope you've had a great weekend so far.
I'm celebrating going on holiday for a few days with a bit of colour and pattern.
I don't feel right without a dash of colour, either with what I wear or in my work.
I have my Nan's eclectic taste to thank for that.

So here it is.
See you in a few days, after I've had fun in Amsterdam.

Ruby In The Flowers

I always feel very honoured when I get commissions to illustrate a clients canine friend that is no longer with us.
I'm always a little nervous that I do justice to the beloved four legged friend. So I'm thrilled when I get a lovely response to the portrait.

This is Ruby, surrounded by bright florals, spots and with her favourite 'cookie' in mouth : ) x A true darling x
Something to brighten up a Thursday x
