Adding colour + painting = unexpected results

After finishing my drawings the other day and last night.
I decided to dig out my paints.
Haven't painted in such a while.
Was never sure if I was a: any good with them, and b: liked the medium.
Turns out I actually quite like the process.
This mixed with drawing and using graphics pens, is another step closer to exploring and developing what I love to do.
Here they are.

2nd image is  a Chiuaua admiring Monet.

So it's 10pm and I hadn't done a drawing!
So I thought I'd better do a quick sketch before bed.
So here it is. (Oh I did paint one of yesterdays dogs, I'll take pics tomorrow!)
