Canine Couples = Dog Milk - The Scratchbook

Recently I was asked to take part in Dog Milks, The Scratchbook feature, which of course I was delighted to except. As it was February, the obvious theme was Valentines Day.

I've always had a bit of an obsession in imagining some of my ornaments having relationships! That broken china poodle having a fling with the fair maiden, the ceramic bird chatting up kitsch cat. I could go on : )

So it really wasn't hard for me to imaging the canine friends of Capree, (the managing editor of Dog Milk ) having relationships with other pooches. The following stories then generated.
Smash and Coco Bean ( Chic Sprinkles ) announcing their internet love affair, and Wrigley confessing his love for Dee ( Deisel and Juice ).

Cheers to Capree and Dog Milk for being such good fun to work with, and for all canines involved for being such great models x x x

Wrigley the wonder dog : )

Last week I had the pleasure and delight of having Wrigley as a model.

For those of you that don't know Wrigley, he is the canine companion of Capree, editor at Dog Milk.
Dog Milk and Capree have been super lovely to me over the past few years, always giving shouts out when I've had new work or a deal.
Thanks you lovely people, always appreciated: )

Here's Wrigley.
I'd so love to draw Beans and Smash x

Happy 4th July And To Say Thanks - Portraits for $110 : )

It really has been quite a year in one way or another.
So I wanted to say thanks, and also Happy 4th July to all my American friends : )

Last year I was really just beginning, then a feature on Oh Joy! bought a lot of attention to my greetings cards.
Next saw a lovely feature on Daily Candy's website, which was an unexpected surprise.
And also a lovely mention in Martha Stewarts Holiday Gift Guide!
This led on to me having so many lovely commissions from truly fabulous people!

As well as my customers I've had fabulous support from some top websites and blogs.
So thanks also to:
BlanketID
Pawsh
Pretty Fluffy
Miles To Style
Dog Milk
Modern Dog Magazine
Bean Town Handmade
Paw Seasons
and Puppy Snob to name a few.

I'm doing Custom Portraits for $110 plus p&p from now till next Monday.

Miles Amongst The Flowers!

This evening, well in the UK anyway, Christine from the lovely Miles To Style received the portrait of Miles I'd recently completed for her!
Such lovely words were sent my way for the  illustration, made me blush slightly!
Miles is not only the sweetest thing ever with an underbite, but an utter joy to draw.

Thanks Christine for all the lovely commissions you've had me complete for you and for being a fan!
It's all very lovely : )

This is Miles in amongst the flowers.
(Sadly the quality is not too great as I was without scanner at the time, but he still looks lovely!)

Double niceness!!

So, the other day I had the joy of being featured on Oh Joy! again.
This time though it was via the lovely Christine from Miles To Style and Dog Milk.
The feature is entitled (closet & casa).

Christine picked the portrait that I did for her of her beautiful dog Miles, as her favourite thing in her home!
I'm so pleased it gives her so much joy!

So thanks to both lovely ladies for the feature and mentioning me.
Have fabulous weekends.

He Quite Frankly Has Miles Of Style!

I had the pleasure a while back of drawing Miles for the lovely Christine.
Christine is a lady of many talents.
Not only does she have the wonderful online shop Lama.
Christine also guest writes for Dog Milk and also has the fabulous site Miles To Style.

Christine kindly sent the most fabulous testimonial the other day as well as the portrait I did of her beloved Miles.
Thanks Christine.
