Happy 4th July And To Say Thanks - Portraits for $110 : )

It really has been quite a year in one way or another.
So I wanted to say thanks, and also Happy 4th July to all my American friends : )

Last year I was really just beginning, then a feature on Oh Joy! bought a lot of attention to my greetings cards.
Next saw a lovely feature on Daily Candy's website, which was an unexpected surprise.
And also a lovely mention in Martha Stewarts Holiday Gift Guide!
This led on to me having so many lovely commissions from truly fabulous people!

As well as my customers I've had fabulous support from some top websites and blogs.
So thanks also to:
BlanketID
Pawsh
Pretty Fluffy
Miles To Style
Dog Milk
Modern Dog Magazine
Bean Town Handmade
Paw Seasons
and Puppy Snob to name a few.

I'm doing Custom Portraits for $110 plus p&p from now till next Monday.
Spread the word....

Mascot Studio's 13th Annual Dog Show!

So it looks like I will have some work showing at Mascot Studio's 13th Annual Dog Show.
How lovely.
Anne Watkins, another artist featured in Martha Stewarts Holiday Gift Guide gave me the heads up to contact Peter the owner of Mascot Studios and after a few e-mails it looks like I will be part of the show!
Very excited, just wish I could head back to New York, I love New York.
Maybe later in the year.

It looks like there may be a few embroidery's being shown.
Possibilities below : )
Thanks Martha, thanks Anne, thanks Peter.

A Big Thanks.

What a busy and productive few months it's been.
Not to mention a hectic year, but that's another story.
Only one more Xmas commission to do before officially on a break.

I've had a blast doing all the wonderful portraits that I received via my mention in Martha Stewart.
Much love going out to all that have commissioned me recently and previously.
My small business is slowly growing and I have never enjoyed something as much.

What an eventful year.
I'm sure I will blog again before the big day.
But in case I'm having too much fun than a Happy Christmas to everyone.
: )

Oh, this is Ernie, one of my recent models. What a dude.

Officially in there!

So I found out the other day that I have been included in Martha Stewart's Holiday Gift Guide 2011!!!
How exciting. Who'd have thought it?! : )

I only knew that I had been included after I had 2 e-mails asking about illustrations and saying where they had seen me.

Quote 1: "Martha Dec. issue page 66 under gift guide........you are by far the best of the choices - clearly have a feel for the soul of the animal..."
Quote 2: "Okay, I just found your website via Martha Stewart Living (congrats on that by the way!) and I am IN LOVE with your work!!!! I would like to commission one, possibly two of your pieces for Christmas gifts"
*head swells, slightly blushes*

All very lovely and unexpected.
One of my first ever customers went and bought a copy, scanned it and sent me the piece so I could see. Thanks Carol, very sweet of you!

Listening to this, isn't calming me down!

The other artists included are:
Anne Watkins
Martha Szabo
Noisy Dog Studios

Martha Stewart and things!

Been a bit distracted of late with blogging and the like.
But, busy none the less!
Having a grand summer, which is what they are for!!

So exciting news, that may be happening.
Martha Stewart Living contacted me regarding a feature in a 'Holiday Gift Guide'.
Really, thrilled about this possibility.
Will keep you posted on any further developments.
But pretty, pretty, pretty good!!!!

Here's a Spaniel in some roses.
I seem to have visited a lot of rose gardens recently.
