So as well as working on commissions I've been keeping one eye on Etsy.
I was added to a treasury list by the lovely Briana Rose, you can see here fabulous rings and other jewellry here.
Whilst looking at my Etsy site, I noticed I'd attracted a lot of people who had added me as one of their 'favourites'. It's always nice when people appreciate what you do, so I was chuffed with that.
Then whilst chatting on Facebook to a person I have befriended who has a love for the Singer Irish and Cornely sewing machines (Jerry Lee, check out his embroidered cowboy shirts, they're great), he informed me that Briana's list had made front page on Etsy!
Briliant. So two more sales for me today, one to Latvia, one to the US.
Thank you to my buyers and to Briana.
The treasury is called Sweet somethings, take a look!

You want greeting cards? You got em!
Had my cards back from the printers this week.
I'm rather happy with them.
Last night was spent putting them and envelopes into cello bags!
This was made less dull by watching 2 episodes of The Wire.
I love it.
I'm so behind with the times, I know, only on Series 2.
Still think of all the excitement that's ahead of me.
Think it's on Series 5 now.
Back to the cards.
They will be available to buy either direct from me or in Scarlet Vintage.
For those of you unaware of Scarlet Vintage, go find it and have a rummage.
The shop is run by Debbie, who is not only extremely friendly but also has a keen eye for beautiful garments and accessories.
She regularly heads over to LA to source out unique vintage clothing.
Well worth a look.
Mari Wilson - Just What I've Always Wanted.
Billy Joel - Uptown Girl. Looking very young/a little seedy!

Bella in the poppies.
Feel like I've ground to a bit of a halt.
I've so many ideas, options etc running round my head.
Just need to sort them out and set too.
I know I'll feel much better once I've begun another project.
Today I have drawn Bella.
I see her as a sophisticated lady (from the 70's)!
Not really sure why.
Here she is.
The Waitresses - I Know What Boy's Like.

Painting after so many years.
Well today I thought I'd dig out my paints.
They haven't seen light of day for so long.
I was surprised to find them not completely dried up.
Below is the results.
I've tried to not be precious.
Quite liked it, nice to use a coloured ground for a change.
Who doesn't love Alan Bennett?!
Her Big Chance Part 1 - starring Julie Walters.
More drama! Bonnie Tyler - Total Eclipse Of The Heart.
Some bad acting - Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time.

We are not amused!
Hello.
I was in London yesterday for New Designers.
The day was a great success for Bath Spa University.
Awards won, samples bought, opportunities to exhibit!
Everyone did great, congrats to you all.
Today I finished my commissioned piece.
The response from the commissioner was great.
Of course she's only seen photo's but was delighted.
Good for her and me!!
The dog below was supposed to resemble a royal type mutt.
Ben said she looks more religious.
Matters neither way.
Blimey!

Head scarves a plenty
Finished off a commission today.
He looks good, I hope they'll be happy with it.
As well as that I've been drawing, again!!
I think that it is possibly my favourite thing to do.
Even more so than embroidery.
Controversial!
As with yesterdays canine, todays also wears a headscarf.
My internet search for "glamorous women wearing head scarves" gave me lots of pictures of the Queen!!
Not so much glamorous, but still she has style.
I've always secretly like Dot Cotton's outfits!
I think it's 'cause she's always matching.
Now these have plenty of style.
B-52's - Private Idaho.
And again - Roam.

Paw Seasons
Yesterday I had the pleasure of visiting Paw Seasons again.
It's a luxury boarding home for dogs.
I say boarding home.
It's Jenny (the owners) lovely house.
She must be bonkers.
Saturday had her sharing her home with 10 canines!!
All lovely, in different ways.
I took some photo's whilst there.
These are the drawings from them.
Arthur, the Shih-tzu apparently loves croissants.
That is why I have given him a hat made from said pastry!!
Daft Punk - Da Funk.
Snoop Dog - What's My Name?
Outkast - Sorry Ms. Jackson.
