Pugs, Vintage Dolls And Embroidery

Over the past week or so I've been back on the machine.
Using inspiration from my recent watercolours to translate the drawings into stitch.

Rather happy with how they have come out, and more in the pipeline.

Playing With Pattern

It's taken me a while but I've got round to doing a few new repeats and ordering some samples.
I've really loved drawing the vintage dolls and toys for my MATS course.

So I thought I'd take the opportunity to turn some of them into a repeat.
More to come soon, this time with canines.

Watercolour Canines And Doll Duos

Well, I must say I'm loving using watercolours.

So continuing on from dolls, here's a few more dolls/humans and canine duos.
Will soon be offering custom portraits and prints of some of these.

Vintage Dolls And Canine Couples

Morning!
Well, it has to be said, I'm thoroughly enjoying drawing dolls and canine couples.
I'm going to keep going with this.
Although I've just been given the new assignment for the Bootcamp course, and editorial spread.

Can't wait to get started.
In the meantime here's some watercolours I've been creating of late.

Watercolour Vintage Dolls And Canines

Happy Friday,

Hope you've had a good week.
The Lilla Rogers Bootcamp course restarted this week. Very pleased as it's always inspiring.
The topic this time round is vintage dolls/toys.
I've decided to use a medium that I haven't used before, watercolour.

So far I'm very much enjoying the results and theme.
There's plenty of scope for colour and kitschness, always a good thing.
