Today my Supermarket Sarah wall goes live.

It's been a long week of working hard and now I'm ready for a bit of relaxing.

Studio Other Stuff

It's been a while between posts.
So a quick catch up to.
Studio Other Stuff has arrived on Etsy (at long last!).
This shop will be for the brooches I make, and whatever else I care to add!

I need to get promoting things now.
So much to do, not enough time/too many things on the go!!

Anyway, this is the link. All brooches are one of a kind and hand made by me.
Below are a few things on offer as well as a model wearing a Studio Other Stuff piece.

Commission for a brooche = One I want to keep for myself

So one of my loveliest friends Sarah has been in touch and asked for a custom made brooche.
It's for her mum for Xmas (let's hope she doesn't look at my blog!).
Well I made it today and it came out good.
Just wish I could keep it for myself, still I could always make another.
Never as much fun, when it's for yourself though.

Super Dooper!

So the Art Supermarket was at the weekend.
Was great to be a part of it and to spend time with Miss Loder and get to know Lucy a bit better too!
The place looked ace, so thanks to everyone that played a part in making it so fabulous!
Lots of fine goodies were on offer, some of which I now have in my possession.
Cheers to everyone that bought a card, postcard or brooche, I hope you enjoy!

Production continues

So today I have been continuing my making for 'Art Supermarket'.
As well as packiaging my drawings, I finished off my brooches.
Didn't make as many as I wanted to, but sometimes you can only do what you can do!
Still not a bad show.
Recieving my cards, postcards and business cards tomorrow.
So more packaging tomorrow evening.
I would rather be going to this though.
Claire told me about her, she sound like a very interesting character.

Running out of bits and bobs!

So as well as the Manager Special I posted earlier, I've also been doing these for the Art Supermarket!
I'm slowly running out of nice buttons and things though, so soon I will be on the hunt for more.
I wonder if these will be liked by anyone other than me, if not, then I have a great collection of brooches to last me a lifetime!
I do have a soft spot for these guys - Daft Punk - Robot Rock
Just look at the nice colours, sparkle and complete tackiness of it all, brilliant.
I'm also a big fan of these too, they look so young - MGMT (doing Talking Heads) - This Must Be The Place.
And here they are being great, Talking Heads that is.
I think this has been one of my most played albums this year, why did they get so slatted.

I've not read much on this site yet but I like how it looks so far!

More coloured squares!

Today amongst other things I have been making more brooches.
I like the process of creating them.
There's something therapeutic and satisfying about just having a small square to work with, like a tiny canvas or piece of paper!!
I'll be adding them to my Etsy shop soon as well as them being part of the Bath Artist Studios 'Art Supermarket'.

Been making more brooches in between other things.
Enjoying the process and looking forward to sending them off to the shop.
Gotta get planning that trip!
I would like a netbook, but I'm unsure.
Seem's like a lame excuse for a laptop.
But it is far more convenient.
