Mixing Things Up

Today in between jobs I've been playing with pattern.

Collaged flowers from two different designs mixed into one.
I think I prefer it this way, a bit wonky!

Italian Greyhounds And Some Flowers

Hello,
I've been busy working in Christmas commissions, hence the lack of posts.
All good here and enjoying the portrait flurry.

Meet Pippa and Dusty, the canine friends of I Heart Whippets.
I recently took part in their annual Xmas auction where one of my custom portraits helped raise some of the £8000's for sighthound charities. That portrait was completed and then I was commissioned to capture these two fabulous italian greyhounds.
Total beauties and a delight to draw. x x x

New Floral Patterns

I've been a way a while.
Well not as such, but from my blog.
I've been busy with commissions, creating new patterns and coming up with ideas.

First on the list of things was to create some floral patterns.
Now I just have to wait for the fabric samples to arrive.

I'll keep you posted.

Palma, Spain, Miro and A Cat!

Hello there,

I've just come back from a lovely holiday in Palma, spain.
I'd never been before and wasn't sure what to expect. All I knew was that it was hot, very hot!

My total highlight of this short break was my trip to the Miro Foundation.
I was never a huge fan before, but the gallery, the exhibition and the setting were a delight.
To see the studios in which Miro worked, his drawings still on the walls, was all very magical.

Here's a few snaps from the visit, as well as a piece inspired by the gardens of the museum.

Canines and Colourful Rugs

Blimey, it's getting chillier around here!
Where's that nice weather gone to?

Well these canines are refusing to think summer is coming to an end by wearing and surrounding themselves with colour and floral pattern.
A good idea I think.

New Florals For Summer

Ah hello!

What a glorious summer we have been graced with.
Best one yet for years by a long shot.

A good excuse to create some new florals, which will very soon be in my Etsy shop.

More Floral Doodles!

I came upstairs last night to write an e-mail and got distracted and started working on a collage!
Florals will always be a favourite of mine, as will a bit of cutting and pasting.

Nice way to be distracted.

Italian Greyhound Repeat

I've so been enjoying creating these patterns.
Also there is the bonus of getting lovely feedback from people regarding them.

I'm going to continue to work on ideas, so keep your eyes peeled for your favourite breed.
Suggestions welcome!
